Modern, sophisticated and fun, these were just some of the words Talya shared with me the day we first met and began to envision her and David’s wedding together. Over the course of a year we worked closely together to refine her vision (gorgeous) and create a day that reflected their love story and how they wanted to celebrate.
Talya and David were married on a Sunday in August and celebrated at the architecturally stunning Robert Lee Alumni Centre, a venue of great significance to the grooms family. Their thoughtfully planned day was full of celebration and significance, and the Hora which kicked off the dinner reception, was quite possibly the longest and most vibrant we’ve witnessed! See how Christie Graham captured this very special day below.
The day began with Talya and her friends gathering to get ready, as Talya’s brother, Jacob, styled her hair. Talya wore her mothers silk dressing gown, and read a special note from her groom to be.
After a first look in the garden, Talya, David and their bridal party spent time taking photos and then began the days ceremony and celebrations.
The bride, Talya, envisioned an outdoor ceremony and discovered they could hold their ceremony at the nearby Buchanan Courtyard at UBC, which provided the ideal structure to frame their ceremony. We have a feeling this may be the first of many ceremonies in this unique location!
The joy in these photos above is everything. Talya and David, you guys know how to celebrate! Thank you for trusting us to play a role in your very special wedding! Special thank you as well to the incredible team of vendors who help us make the day seamless.
