Spending much of their time in Whistler, Lindsay and Vince knew they wanted to bring their family and friends together for a celebration surrounded by the beauty of the mountains and the lake in a place they love most. The vision for the wedding was to create an elegant, natural and intimate affair that enhanced the stunning environment. The colour scheme was inspired by the gorgeous colour of the alpine lake and the wildflowers in the surrounding meadows. And because no great dance party happens in Whistler without them, the evening party kicked off to the sweet sounds of the Hairfarmers.
Inspired by British Columbia’s iconic shoreline and deep blue ocean, we set out to create a romantic elopement experience that celebrates love and the West Coast’s natural beauty for this Coastal Inspiration Shoot. Cues were taken from the ink blue muscle shells lining the shore, washed-up driftwood and wildflowers on the bluffs. With sand between their toes our “Bride and Groom” (who are set to be married Summer 2014) stood under a driftwood arch we built on the beach accented by a hand-died fabric drop. The Bride held a bouquet of mostly-local foraged foliage and wildflowers and enjoyed champagne and blueberry pie!
When Natalie and Jeff hired Spread Love Events as their Event Stylists they had a clear vision in mind. They wanted the day to be a personal reflection of themselves, they wanted friends and family to feel welcome and to use the day to not only celebrate the marriage of Natalie and Jeff, but for guests to recognize and celebrate the love in their own lives. Held on their private family farm in Ontario on Thanksgiving weekend, the atmosphere was intimate, elegant and inviting, with vintage details, farm-to-table cuisine, and sublte festive fall elements. Their day was full of love, joy, laughter and unforgetable moments.
