Summer camp sweethearts, when we first met Rachelle and Joel and discussed venue options, it was clear Camp Miriam on Gabriola Island, the place they met, and later visited when Joel proposed, held so much meaning to them, it was destined to be where they said “I do”. On their wedding day, Joel and his friends woke up and enjoyed a quick dip in the ocean, while Rachelle and her girlfriends gathered at a quaint Bed and Breakfast to begin getting ready. Their first look took place at the ocean view point where they got engaged and was followed by a beautiful ceremony held at close family friends home, the “Mate Estate”, set on the water just a stroll from camp. Guests enjoyed a champagne toast and made their way to “camp” for a beautiful dinner, dancing and merriment into the early morning hours.
A modern fairytale, Holly and Chris were married at the regal Hatley Castle on Vancouver Island. Full of love and passion, Holly and Chris’s vision for their day was a lively and romantic celebration with friends and family. Every area of this beautiful property and it’s gardens were decorated and filled with the sound of music. Guests flowed from a grand garden ceremony, to a cocktail reception on the terrace, marvelous tented dinner reception on the lawn, dancing under the stars and a whiskey lounge inside the historic castle. Next to seeing these two say “I do”, our highlight was most certainly seeing Holly’s excited expression as Chris surprised her with a performance from her favorite band RAC to complete their starlit dance party. What a celebration!
An elegant and fun loving couple! Andrea and Andrew exchanged vows surrounded by their family and friends in the early evening in July on the lawn set below the beautiful Cecil Green Park house. Cocktails and croquet followed, and just before the sun set, dinner began on the terrace. Toasts and speeches took placed under a warm glow, beautiful cakes and dessert from the iconic Butter Baked Goods were served and the band kicked off dancing inside. Though no detail was overlooked, our favourite thoughtful detail from the bride and groom was a gift of “Lemon-aid” from the Juicery upon guest departure!
