Set in one our favourite places, North Arm Farm, in Pemberton B.C., it’s the kind of location that takes your breath away, and we promise that’s just the beginning. Love Styled is a full day photography workshop and styled shoot set in the breathtaking Pemberton Valley at North Arm Farm.

Who: Rebecca Amber Photography, Spread Love Events and Friends!

What: For style obsessed new and aspiring lifestyle and wedding photographers, you will learn Rebecca’s tips and tricks for capturing etherial images, discuss editing and get hands on shooting gorgeous details and people for your portfolio with a gorgeous styled shoot created and produced by the Spread Love Events Team.

When: Sunday June 30th 2013, 10AM – 7PM

Planning a wedding in early spring can be risky business in Vancouver, but with high risk may  also come high reward. For Nadia and Gavin’s wedding day that meant sunshine and warm weather on a Easter weekend, combine with the most beautiful spring flowers you could imagine. How’s that for our first wedding of 2013?!

We can’t wait to share the details from their day with you soon, but until then here’s look at the inspiration board we designed for their day. A subtle nod to their love story (he was the captain and she was crew when they locked eyes on the Caribbean sea), with classic navy, pops of bright colours and cohesive design elements fitting for one of our favourite city venues, Brix.

Lately I can’t get the colour chartreuse off my mind. Mix in a recent lunch date at the charming Marche St George in Vancouver and the below inspiration was born. With a European flair, we imagine creating this style of a celebration in B.C. set in a winery, private estate or heritage building and grounds (though Europe would also do, did we mention we travel?). A sophisticated, stylish and textured event where guests sip prosecco served on pewter trays and dine by candle light seated at harvest tables adorn with garlands of floral and olive branches. Enjoy!

When styling a wedding, we get to know our clients, what they love and envision for their day, and we take a very slow walk through their venues looking at every element and imagining its use. Our philosophy is that decor details should compliment not compete with your natural surrounding and that’s exactly how we approached the styling for Lindsay and Vince’s summer lakeside Whistler wedding. I’m a visual person and can literally paint a picture of what I imagine a wedding to look like in my head. The thing is , you can’t see in my head nor can I in yours , enter the inspiration board! These boards help evoke the feelings, style and the overall tone for a wedding.  As a part of our event styling service, after getting to know our clients, we create a few boards to narrow down our vision together enroute to creating a thoughtful, beautiful and personal wedding.

Amber and Darryl wanted a fun wedding weekend and true Canadian west coast experience for their guests who would travel from around the globe to attend their wedding at Rockwater Secret Cove Resort on the Sunshine Coast of B.C. After narrowing the inspiration down to three boards and sharing with Amber and Darryl, they felt the below inspiration represented their vision for the day.  I love the natural elements in this inspiration and the neutral colour palatte that was built around the environment at Rockwater. As you’ll see in our next blog post – it was a magical weekend!  Until then, here’s a sneak peak at our inspiration for the day.
