September 10th 2011 was a magical day for all who had the privilege of attending Vanessa and Dan’s wedding at UBC Farm in Vancouver.  We stepped in as the Day of Coordinators to manage the logistics and set up of this gorgeous farm wedding.

Planning a wedding at UBC farm is not for the faint of heart.  However, if you’re prepared to put in the work, as Vanessa and Dan did, or invest in a superb wedding planner, the pay off is divine!

We love how Vanessa and her bridesmaids surprised guests by entering the ceremony through the orchard.

Immediately following the ceremony, guests were invited to follow the wedding party through the orchard towards the UBC Farm Poplar Grove for an intimate cocktail reception.  Guests were greeted with champagne as they made their way to the Poplar Grove where appetizers and fresh cocktails awaited them.

The dinner reception was held under a beautiful maxi tent.  The tables were styled with simple flowers, wood rounds with calligraphy place cards written by the brides grandmother and scattered with beautiful Anthropologie candles.  An installation of willow and flowers anchored the head table which was decorated with ikat placemats, beautiful coasters and a variety of eclectic votives.

 

The gorgeous family style meal was prepared and served by Savory City Catering.  We loved working with the team at Savory City Catering and  highly recommend them.  To cap the night off, a homemade red velvet wedding cake and pies from the famous Savory Island Pie Company were served, followed by hours of dancing!
